Michael Orlinski was born in Rhode Island but lived along the eastern seaboard and Ohio during the formative child years. Educated at the University of Hartford Michael earned a B.A. in Public Relations and a B.S. in Marketing. Post-college he began his working career with the online design and print website VisaPrint (NASDAQ: VPRT).
At VistaPrint Michael learned the fundamentals of data-driven online marketing from an industry leader. From VistaPrint he parlayed an opportunity to ValueClick’s (VCLK) affiliate network Commission Junction where he specialized in Brick to Click e-retailers Lids.com, L.L. Bean, and Lenovo ThinkPad’s affiliate marketing campaigns.
Enthralled with the efficiency of Search Marketing Michael began work with Overdrive Interactive’s promising new Search Marketing Team. Overdrive’s mantra of Drive> Capture> Convert> Optimize” rekindled the data driven marketing he experienced with VistaPrint. Surrounded by Overdrive’s entrepreneurial environment he has had the opportunity to work on both Paid and Natural Search Marketing campaigns for such quality clients as: Dow Jones, LoJack , John Hancock, Progress Software, Cognos, Boston.com, Aquent, and Harley-Davidson. Overdrive’s dedication to supporting non-profit organizations with pro-bono consulting allowed him to help both City Year and the Xprize Foundation with their natural and Google Grant paid search campaigns.
Since joining Overdrive Interactive Michael has helped develop Overdrive’s Search Marketing products and services. In November 2006 he was promoted to the position of Search Supervisor overseeing the short and long term management of the Overdrive Search Team.
When not in the office Michael enjoys spending time out on the road cycling, running, skiing, and enjoying all that New England has to offer. Michael in the past year has found a passion for running marathons and this Spring will complete his 5th official marathon running once again for the Dana-Farber Boston Marathon Challenge team.
